Cleburne - The Johnson County Sheriff's Posse Rodeo Committee is finalizing plans for its 2nd Annual United Professional Rodeo Association (UPRA) Rodeo to be held at the Sheriff's Posse facility September 3-4, 2010. This event is brought to the community by Cleburne Ford, and many other dedicated local business partners.

Producer Will Cook and his Flying C Ranch Rodeo Company promise to bring exciting professional rodeo action and family entertainment to Cleburne area residents. Local rodeo contestant entries will be accepted, and with $4,500.00 in added money, this event is sure to draw the best cowboys and cowgirls competing in professional rodeo today.

For the past 56 years the members of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Posse have brought the finest outdoor professional rodeos in the United States to the residents of Johnson and surrounding counties. It is our goal to continue to provide our community with quality, low cost, family oriented events that residents can look forward to attending year after year.

Come on out to our facility just south of the Johnson County Courthouse on Highway 174 and enjoy an evening of great entertainment in a family oriented atmosphere. Our full service concession stand will be serving the legendary "Posse Burger", so bring the family and come hungry!

General admission tickets to the rodeo may be purchased at the gate for $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for children 4 through 12. Box seats (six seats each) are available for $60.00 per night. Children 3 and under attend free. Parking is free. Rodeo performances will start at 7:00PM Friday night with slack after; the Saturday evening performance will start at 8:00 PM.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Posse offers different levels of sponsorship to businesses and corporations. Newspaper ads, radio announcements/commercials and poster distribution are enlisted to assist the Posse in marketing this event. Advertising spans into all Johnson County Cities, and surrounding counties.
